Inspiring Friday Session with Mr Krishnakumar Balasubramaniam, Artistic Director

Sorry that we couldn’t post anything on this space for a while. Our clients have kept us busy 🙂 I mean they always do.

So, after moving into a new office, echoVMEans needed an inspiring session to recharge their fun battery. They had an amazing time when we had Mr. Abhishek Joseph George do an inspiring session with us back in March. It was obvious that only someone similar can trigger the same reaction among our rockstars. So, we invited Mr. Krishnakumar Balasubramaniam, a renowned theatre enthusiast and artistic director of The Little Theatre Trust – one of India’s leading not-for-profit theatre companies for children since 1991.

Appearing as a person with a down to earth attitude, he began by introducing himself as another engineering graduate who went to abroad to pursue masters but later thought that acting is his cup of tea and started following his destiny.

The let’s get to know each other a bit part

Guess he was eager to know each one of us as much as we were eager to know about him. He invited us all to introduce ourselves individually with a unique expression of our own and explained that it’ll give him a pretty much idea of each one of our personality.

Here’s a glimpse of it:

Beware of your audience and surrounding

Next up he threw some light on how to be aware of your surroundings and that no matter what one does on stage, his/her job is to own the audience and to make sure to keep their audience engaged until one completes his/her act.

Love for theatre, travel and pets

Being a theatre enthusiast and having conducted over 100s of workshops, he was excited to describe his journey so far in the theatre industry and how he was able to build a sustainable future around it. He also shared with us his love for pet animals and that he has a small farm somewhere near ECR. He is also an avid traveller and makes sure that at least once a year he plans a trip with his life partner.

In the end he was open to all our questions and made sure to answer them before bidding adieu and wishing us all the best for our future endeavors. Our rockstars seemed more than inspired after the session and went on to carry out their routine activities while looking forward to their next inspiring Friday session.
