Written by admin

Forget Halloween, we all have our own everyday horror stories that make us shudder at the very thought of it. The one that terrorizes us easily is Monday (rumoured to be the shortest horror story in the world). I know, we’ve all been there.

Monday aside, there are certain things that makes peeps at a digital & social media marketing agencies recoil in horror. Ok, here we elaborate:

Need we say more? Every single time this happens, we get a heart attack. Oh and the internet has a knack for refusing to work ONLY when we have something important to upload or post. Because, you know, ill luck. Or, whatever. Oh, the horror.

2. Clients email at Odd Hours

Ok this gives us the creeps, every time! Like a phone call at midnight, any email (it could be a late reply too) but it still gives us that one minute heart attack making us think “oh god, what now?!”

Now how do we explain this? This could make you want to tear out your hair in anger, cuss repeatedly, break your computer or just scream in terror.

If you’ve been running ads for your clients this part month particularly, you’d know our pain. Jesus. Christ. It’s like, Facebook plays mind games with you. Needless to say, you’ve facepalm-ed numerous times making you wish you could for once, just once, read what’s on FACEBOOK’S mind for a change. I mean, how many rules and regulation change can a soul stand?! Phew!

5. Server Crashing

Now this happens because we don’t already have enough headaches in life it seems. Major facepalm-ing moment this.

Also, hair tearing moment.

Also, tearing hair apart moment.

So when you get the message that your over enthusiastic approach to SEO has failed miserably, prompting Google to penalize you, you slink away silently, staring at your screen in horror, wondering why the ground hasn’t opened up to swallow you whole.

Yes, THAT feeling.

7. Twitter Account Suspended

Ah, what can we say. Yes, this actually happens. You sit there tweeting away to glory and then next minute Twitter blithely displays “Hey buddy, we’re sorry but we’re going to have to temporarily suspend your Twitter account. Yeah, sorry about that.”

But in reality, nope, Twitter is not at all sorry about it.

8. Handling Negative Comments for Clients

This is every social media manager’s horror- no, nightmare. How else can you explain the agony of hoping fervently that the negative comment does not, god forbid, go viral and wreak havoc to your brand? I tell you, every negative comment has me clutching my face, waiting, waiting for it to go away in peace….

9. Hashtag Not Trending

We start a Twitter contest. We create one kickass, awesome hashtag, waiting for it to trend. We invite people to play. We announce the prizes. And we’re excited, very, very, excited.

And then, it stops right there. We wait.

And wait.

And wait.

And then we scream cos, haha, it ain’t happening darling!

10. Data Lost/ No Data Backup

This is easily the most painful thing that could ever happen. After all the pain we go through to save our work, it just disappears at the bat of an eyelid.

Well, tough luck. Time to cry!

We’re sure you’ve faced at least 5 of these situations. So share this and have a nice laugh 🙂
