Diwali – The festival of lights is the celebration of the triumph of good over evil! All homes are decked up and poojas are held so as to purify the surrounding.
At echoVME, it is pretty much the same scene! Diwali is one of the most cherished times that all echoVMEans look forward to! Because on that day, there is a pooja held to keep the sanctity of our workplace – which we revere. It all starts with cleaning out our office cupboards and instruments 10 days before the festival. Each one of us clean up our desks, getting ready for Diwali. This year was no different! We cleaned our work stations, threw out unwanted items and got the office ready for Diwali. As we get a surplus of holidays for Diwali, the pooja is usually done before the festival itself. This year, it was on the 6th of November.
As we wore our best festival clothes for Diwali and got our last minute works done, it was time for the pooja to commence. We quickly got the Mango leaves raised as a welcome sign at the front door of our office, diyas were placed on either sides of the stairs and colourful rangoli was made! echoVMEans sat for the pooja and we all prayed for happiness and success – for ourselves and also for our company. You see, echoVME is not just an organization, it is a family that looks out for each other!
Once the pooja was done, sweets & Diwali bonus was distributed to us by our Thinker- In- Chief Sorav Jain and our COO – Meghna Jain. No occasion at echoVME is complete without food (you all must know that by now that we are a bunch of food obsessed manic machines at work), so we wound up our Diwali with sandwiches , samosas and vada pav; guzzling it down with soft drinks! 😛 Wishes were exchanged as each one of us winded up our work and left for home.
Here’s wishing you all a very Happy Diwali! May this festive season bring in loads of happiness, success and prosperity!
