Internships are fun to go to but here, at echoVME, it is something more than fun. We enjoy every second here, the people around are so friendly that you’d feel like you know them since a long time. Along with the presence of the fun factor, they ensure we put in the best quality of our work and contribute something to echoVME – one of the best firms in Digital Marketing industry. Employees go out of their way to break the ice and make the interns feel comfortable. Read our intern, Aparna Rathi’s account of echoVME’s various degrees of initiation process:
1. Make a Presentation:
The interns have to make a presentation on the company which includes a formal introduction of themselves, what they understand of the company and what are their expectations from the company. This is to evaluate presentation making skills and communication skills of the interns.
2. Memory Game:
A memory game is for the intern to remember every employee’s name after the employees have introduced themselves one by one and trust me it’s kinda difficult to remember so many names. 😉
3. Talent Show:
This is where the interns have to showcase their talent. It could be dancing, singing, drawing, poetry, mimicry, etc. This is purely entertaining – we have dancers, singers, cartoonists, poets and who not! It’s good to know the other side of the fellow interns.
4. Team Building Initiative:
echoVME calls it “Life of I” which means Life of Interns. Each and every intern is part of a particular team. The teams are Social Media Team and Digital Marketing team. We are segregated under 3 leaders (Amrutha, Malavika & Karthik) and allocated different tasks each day which are helping us understand the industry better. The team leaders are exemplary teachers and share a friendly bond with the interns.

1. A friendly environment:
We enjoy working in this friendly, playful & stress-free environment. It helps us think positive and thus bring out the best in us. One cannot work in an environment where there are too many restrictions, formality, etc. To work better and more, it is important that one has a healthy surrounding where people are interactive with each other. It is an informal yet absolutely professional working environment. With the company of extremely patient and kind employees, working is never stressful and challenging.
2. Mentoring at its best:
Our team leaders and other co-workers are so easy to talk to and are always ready to help us with a smiling face. We have their assistance at all times and they take us in with happy faces and smiles. They ensure that we understand our work properly and help us bring out the best. Team leaders and the CEO don’t have walls high up when they’re not working and are easily approachable when in doubt. You may not find this anywhere else!
3. Where fun and work are entwined:
Seen anyone work with fun? Here, we practice fun with work and work with fun. We talk, we sing and we click pictures and yet work with unmatched perfection. No compromises with the quality of work, no matter what. A treasure hunt was planned for the interns just so they know the employees and learn how to work in and with a team. The treasure hunt was a fun way of learning this and it led us to a dinner at McD with the Thinker-in-Chief – Sorav Jain and all the interns.
4. Fun with food sessions:
Food at echoVME is worshipped and is a never ending subject. People start their day with food and end with it. The unique thing about echoVME is that we have a spread sheet with a lot of snack options to pick from – its no less than a Menu card for snacks – interns can pick from murku, chocos, bhujias, lays, kurkure, perk, Cadbury, peanuts, cheese balls and lot more. The lunch break is the most awaited time of the day, we all stuff ourselves in a room and eat our lunch together, share with each and everyone and we have a variety full of foods to eat from every day and the best part is – its very informally done! We all sit on floor and share our food – almost a home environment.
5. Expand your creativity:
Interns at echoVME are encouraged to think beyond the box yet keeping it real. This majorly helps one to realize his/her own potentials. This helps them expand their capabilities and transcend all limitations. It helps one to grow from within, come out as a more creative, confident and an outspoken person. You learn from each and everyone and this helps you become good with your work and to work with different people.
6. Regular Training:
On an every day basis the leadership team takes about 45 minutes session on a Digital Marketing topic – we have already done Content creation, content amplification, digital wavelength, digital analytics, content strategy, blogging and more. These are interactive sessions where interns can get their doubts cleared and have a clear understanding of the topics that’s been discussed. They put utmost effort into taking the time to teach interns after office hours, and ensure we learn, rather than doing it for namesake.
Ever seen a place like echoVME? All these things make it unique. It accepts the interns as a part of their family and hasn’t made anyone feel out of the place. All the things that are done here is with everyone including the employees and interns. With a workplace like this, one could never think of leaving it or not joining it back. It’s a great place to be at for someone who wants to learn the right way and be satisfied with the company which is not met at most of the places.
